i recorded this myself on a 4-track cassette recorder, and it was transferred to digital by Michael Potter
very inspired by the looped-reed work of TERRY RILEY & Ariel Kalma
i found creative avenues for getting a bunch of sound on there while only having 4-tracks: while doing one of the clarinet overdubs, i taped down a note on a casio keyboard, put it through a phaser pedal, and played it through an amp in the room. so it was going continuously in the background while i did a clarinet overdub
i thank my uncle, John Zeihan, for getting me the gift certificates to Musician's Friend, that allowed me to purchase loop pedals for both me and my youngest son, kiran
i bought two dittoX2 loop pedals, and they acted like starting points for kiran's entry into the world of music making!
i recorded over a tape that my boss at Wuxtry gave me (of Hank Williams III), and when mixing the track down with Michael, a drum-fill from the end of one of Hank's songs popped in. i left it because it was a 'happy accident' in that it came at the end of piece
thanks for reading, and possibly listening!!
